A seat is any human user with write or API-key access to the workspace. On Business, read-only auditor seats — external counsel, Big Four assessors, your CISO’s reviewers — are free and unlimited. On Team, read-only viewers count as half a seat, billed monthly.
Team is billed monthly or annually at the same $99 per-seat list — annual simply removes the per-month invoice overhead. Business is annual only because the named-on-call SLA and Evidence API commitments are scoped per contract year.
Your workspace freezes read-only on day 15. You have 14 more days to export the full event ledger as CSV or JSON. 94% of pilot teams convert to paid within 30 days; the 6% who do not keep their export and incur no charge.
Migration is free on both tiers and is completed in under 4 hours for 92% of new customers. The open-source SDK reads Jira change tickets, ServiceNow change records, and Airtable bases directly — no professional-services SOW required.
